Episode 37: The Mysteries of Service

Nithin Reddy joins Jeremy once more to dive into what those of Q’uo describe as the mysteries and paradoxes of service. How do we know whether we’re truly serving the other self, when the other self may not understand its own spiritual project and true desire? How do we give freely with no conditions so that we can give others the freedom to discover themselves that we seek to give ourselves? What do we as servants desire from those we serve, and how do we use even services that go poorly as ways to understand ourselves better? Where do the social norms and pressures fit into all this?

We can strive to be more polarized, but this is so difficult without any way to judge our polarity. Service encompasses all of the mysteries contained in an illusion of separation refracting and mediating the underlying unity of the Creator. Q’uo offers novel approaches to keeping the faith that love expressed and received are the true natures of service. As we learn to abide in patience and bring through more and more purified love and light, we make ourselves open, available, and even grateful for all the opportunities for growth and connection that service offers.

Episode 36: Skillfully Working with Catalyst

Nithin Reddy and Jeremy discuss a 2008 Q’uo session on the subject of processing and distilling catalyst. What about our experiences is the lesson on which we’re working? Conversely, what about our experiences needs to be let go and not belabored? How do we deal with our triggered feelings in the moment when catalytic situations first present? Q’uo shares some ideas on the skills involved in the personal and delicate matter of exercising compassionate discernment in facing the events of our lives and balancing their aftermath. Nithin and Jeremy tease apart the nuances of Q’uo’s message, including the role our guidance and other synchronicities play as well as the benefits of a meditative approach as we discuss the “diet of catalyst” in our lives.

Episode 33: Confederation Philosophy in the Public Eye

Happy Tuesday, other selves! We still need to finish analyzing the session from last episode which began to explore the concept of the magical personality, but Ryan and I wanted to address a Vice article recently published on the Ra contact material, L/L Research, and the r/LawOfOne subreddit.

In discussing our thoughts about and reactions to the article, we attempt to use it as a lens through which to view a variety of concerns about public perceptions of our philosophy and community. When and how is it appropriate for us to share our beliefs on spirituality? How should we talk about the more transient and outlandish claims made in the material? How do we connect with people on an authentic level while also meeting them where they are at? Are there any ways to discuss channeling in general and still come off as sane? What is L/L Research’s role and responsibility in this public-facing part of our community and our lives?

Join us on a very special episode as we dive into these issues, and as always, let us know your thoughts. Also, please consider supporting the Farsi translation project. On the next episode we will return to the Q’uo session from episode 32 to finally tackle the concept of the magical personality.

Episode 31: Criticism

Joseph Dartez steps in as Jeremy’s cohost to tackle the subject of criticism. When is critique a form of service to others? How do we account for our own feelings, ulterior motives, distortions and biases in our communication to others? What kinds of spiritual principles are involved in a human way to register our reflections to others? How is this complicated when third parties are involved? Joseph and Jeremy will take a stroll through all of these topics and more as we wrestle with the positive and negative characteristics of criticism.

Episode 27: The Spirit Complex, Part 2

Happy Wednesday, other selves! On this episode, Ryan and Jeremy return to that 1991 Q’uo session on the spirit complex and the soul to finish their read-through and analysis. Jeremy gives a brief synopsis of the ground covered last episode, returning to a passage near the beginning of the session with good advice on how to interpret and think about Confederation information. Then we pick up where we had left off, rounding out Q’uo’s discussion of the spirit complex and its role in the sometimes painful lessons of love and acceptance involved in spiritual evolution. Q’uo then moves on to concept of the soul, which they seem to use to refer to our totality as entities. There’s an interesting part at the end about learning to love without judgment or criticism. As always, let us know how we’re doing!

Episode 26: The Spirit Complex, Part 1

Happy Wednesday, other selves! Ryan returns for another doozy of an episode, as he and Jeremy dive into a Q’uo session dealing with the nature of the spirit. What is the spirit complex in the mind/body/spirit complex model? What makes it complex, and why does that matter? What is the connection between spirit and Confederation concepts like intelligent infinity, investiture, the present moment, desire, and polarization? Prepare for more barely intelligible digressions from Jeremy and more heartwarming stories from Ryan as we ponder the function and nature of that most intangible of metaphysical topics.

Episode 25: The Present Moment

Happy Wednesday, other selves! This episode Jeremy is joined by Nithin Reddy to discuss the Confederation’s concept of the present moment and finding love within it. The present moment is the location for our most potent emotional experiences and our ability to affirm or change our polarity. Perhaps most mysteriously, Ra assures us that the gateway to intelligent infinity lies in this present moment. We’ll discuss the relationship of time, emotion, risk of pain, and opportunity for transformation with an eye towards bringing more awareness and presence to this nexus of spiritual evolution that is perpetually available right now. As always, let us know how we’re doing!

Episode 13: Suffering and Spiritual Growth

Happy Thursday, other selves! Sorry for the late post, but I’ve been a bit distracted. In any case, Tuesday’s episode features yours truly and Ryan discussing the nature of suffering and its role on our evolutionary path. How can we think about our pain and woe? How does our mind and perspective relate to our suffering? What is the best way to address others’ suffering?

As always, give us your feedback on how we’re doing. Thanks for listening!

Episode 4: Love and Catalyst

This week Ryan and I go all over the place, talking about the nature of catalyst and how it exposes our biases, the nature of love in all of our experiences, and the journey from the intellectual head to the understanding heart. What does it mean to love, to serve, to let go? Join us as we open up a bit about our personal lives as we muse about the vulnerable, reflective, receptive mode that the Confederation suggests. As always, we welcome your feedback, both critical and positive. Thanks for listening!
